Shanghai Museum: Arts & Signs Exhibition
visual design + illustration + wall prints
Illustrated the key visual designs, posters, and wall prints for the Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art’s exhibition, as part of the Diverse As We Are Festival, which focused on Deaf Culture and Hearing Culture.
Collaborated closely with the curator and museum team to visualize the exhibition, including designing layouts for the curator’s preface and explanatory texts.
The exhibition showcased art forms that operate at the intersection of Deaf and Hearing Cultures, featuring works by artists whose practices involve sound, music, speech, sign language, signs, and written language.

Hands, eyes, and mouths
The idea was to demonstrate the intersections and connections between deaf and hearing cultures. Hands, eyes, and mouths represent facial expressions significant to both cultures, highlighting the shared aspects. Three relevant body parts overlay each other to illustrate how these cultures can intersect and the flow between both.
